Apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket (E) (ThreeBond 1217H or equivalent) to the position shown in the figure, while checking for overlaps. Refer to . NOTE: Start the application of liquid gasket. End application when it overlaps by 5 mm (0.20 in) or more. 3. Tighten bolts in the numerical order shown in the figure. NOTE: Bolt 6 in the figure shows the second tightening of bolt 1. f. Tighten bolts again in the numerical order shown in the figure. CAUTION: After tightening the mounting bolts, wipe away any liquid gasket that is squeezed out. 11. Install crankshaft pulley according to the following procedure. CAUTION: Never tap crankshaft pulley periphery when press-fitting using a plastic hammer. Lightly tap crankshaft pulley center. b. Apply engine oil to the crankshaft pulley bolt and seat surface. Fix crankshaft pulley in place (1) using a pulley holder (commer- cial service tool) (A). CAUTION: • When the pulley holder is secured, use a piece of wood or an equivalent so that the pulley holder does not contact any surrounding parts. • Secure the pulley holder so as to locate it at a right angle to the crankshaft pulley. d.
